Snack of the week

WARNING! DO NOT TRY THIS UNLESS YOU ARE SURE YOU CAN HANDLE IT!

This weeks snack of choice in the Zo household is chips and salsa!

The Mrs. Renfro’s Nacho Cheese Ghost Pepper Salsa has become one of our favorites! It’s a pumped up version of the Velveeta and chunky tomato we all had as kids. Except this one punches your mouth with flavor and spice that will make you eat the whole thing in two days. (I’m not joking we eat it fast) The cheese cuts the spice level down and for those who love spicy food I highly recommend. I also recommend warming  it up for extra flavor and goodness. If you are trying this for the first time and you’re not so sure how high your spice level is, I recommend have a nice glass of whole milk on hand.

The Mrs. Renfro’s Ghost Pepper Salsa is a COMPLETELY different story. This one we bought to try since we loved the nacho cheese one. I have not tried it and here’s why. My husband’s spice tolerance is generally higher than mine. He tried it and was dying a little which meant I would be dying a lot. He said “The last time I had something that hot was that salsa I bought online.” FYI the salsa he bought online and is referring to was one where he had to sign a waiver saying he knew the risk involved in trying something so high on the scoville heat scale. For those who don’t know what the scoville heat scale is, please refer to this link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scoville_scale

Anyways….

If you are looking for an adventure in salsa and spice and you can handle it, please go out and buy Mrs. Renfro’s Ghost Pepper Nacho Cheese Sauce. You will not regret it.

Pair with Hacienda’s Chili-Lime tortilla chips and you will have fun flavor party.Chips
